When using a lure do you need attach weight, leader and swivel to catch these stripers?
Also can anyone tell me if my tackle is ok for surf or pier fishing or fishing in the aqueduct?

2.12 lb pound of triline
3.REEL Gear ratio 4.6:1 14 lb/255yds

Hi Nunae
First off welcome.
:gob_icon_cheers:
I moved your post to the most appropriate thread. the one that it was in asked for pictures only - no comments.

Ok.

A swivel is necessary for spinning lures to reduce line twist and a leader will help with stealth and abrasion resistance. No weight. The lure used will provide the appropriate weight. Whatever weight your lure is your rod should be rated to throw it.

Check out the sticky threads in this forum.
I've heard anchovies work well in the aqueduct.
Post up the regional questions in the west coast
forums as well. Put your time in and good luck.
