I remember a storm like this a few years back, pushed a ton of bait inshore. Man, it was one nice bass right after another. The surf conditions were great. Huge rollers. thumbsup.gif
I had planned to go out pre-Beryl but Dr's orders changed that. I apparently have a bad eye infection and am under orders to stay inside away from bright light for 48 hours.
Buddy of mine went out last night at dusk and is a now a 45lb club member. The creep. icn___clap.gif
I was always told that fish feed like mad just before a storm.
I fished the Hull Gut during a tropical storm about 7 years ago. It was insane. the wind at my back gave me the casting distance I needed to reach the fish. I didn't get any stripers but it was almost a bluefish on every cast for about an hour and a half. My arms felt like they were going to fall off.
We're going out tomorrow night just as the storm is moving out.I love nasty weather and bassin.First bit of nasty weather I've had a chance to fish in.Can't wait!!!!!
After a beach beating, Clam's are the ticket. Unless you have eel's, alive.
