Ok, my cousin picked up a new boat back in May. Its a 2005 Sea Swirl Striper 2901 with Twin Suzuki 250's. He pretty much got a steal on it. Fully loaded, all electronics, wonderful cabin space, outriggers you name it this boat has it (except an icemaker). The motors had 141 hours on them when he picked it up......so without further ado...the pictures (by the way, thats an Excursion its hooked to)

Thanks Jeff.

Good choice. Bait and I went to the boat show in Boston last winter. We both walked away with the impression that Seaswirl had the best boat for the money. I liked the 29', except with the Alaska Pilot House Package (perhaps more important was my wife loked it too), and Bait chose the 23'.

With outriggers, I bet you will be able to run 17 lines without having to run those crazy-a$$ down-riggers of yours.

I expect the boat came with full electronics?

Are you willing to state a ballpark figure you paid for it?

Brand new, no electronics, they were selling the 29 Alaska for about $117 grand.

Wish you guys all the luck with her. Next time out with her, make a hard left and come up for a visit.

who's gonna buy the fuel????? Thats a nice sea worthy craft....

I see more and more big boats for sale, most just cant afford to run them anymore, we used 100 gallons of fuel Saturday tuna fishing and spent most of the day on anchor!

1st rule of thumb when owning a boat, have lots of friends or family who love to fish and can afford to chip in on gas sign10.gif He figured out that he won't be able to take the boat out alone (which he used to do with his old 25' sportcraft), so he always has someone with him to help cut down on the gas price, plus since its trailered he doesn't have to pay the HIGH prices at the marina and can actually shop around and save some money that way. Not to mention the tank is big enough that he doesn't have to fill it up after every trip so he can wait until the gas prices go down a little to top off. Bad news though, he hurt his back last month and the dr told him today not to do ANYTHING that will aggrevate it worse. So that means no bouncing across the ocean in a boat, no horsing a fish in on a rod and no more golf. So I think the boat is done for the year, we'll break it back out when the stripers run is in full force down off VA Beach in late dec early jan

Hey Jeff is the Excussion the regular tow vehicle for that rig? If so, I hope it's not yours. And I hope you guys at least have the oil cooler on that Excursion. The Excursion is rated for what 10,000 lbs and they recommend never going above 80% of the capacity. My guess is that boat fully loaded exceeds 10,000. I bet you waste the rear end or transmission on that sometime next year regardless.

LOL thats my cousin's excursion. The only thing it does is tow the boat. Fortunately it tows only flat ground 99% of the time. Its a diesel, so it even gets about 12-13mpg while towing that big beast
