I am an avid surfcaster and fish mainly Long Island, NY and CT. I will be at the Breezeway Resort on Misquamicut beach 2nd week in Aug.
I'm bringing my plugging stick and wanted to tap some of the local expertise for some advice as to locations and techniques along that stretch of beach.
I was also wondering about 4-wheel drive beach access.

try th lighthouse at watch hill down by the beach...

you can access with your truck but should have a sticker....chunk baiting at night in front of some of the hotels that have lights on the water is fun cuz you can set your tight line and cast your plugs while you wait....hit the bait store down by the cut

there are soime nice holes along the misquamicut beach....walk it at low tide and set some sticks up in the grass to mark your spost, then strap on the surf bag and take a walk......ahhh....what a night...danny swimmers....
