What is the common size for Krocodile lures for stripers 4,5,6,7oz. and treble or single hook. I would like to stock up on some for striper run this year and I'm new at catching them. Of course I'll be on a party boat. I have enough A47's in asst. colors...Help would be appreciated...:GrayWingSmiley:

That all depends on the conditions.
Windy or lots of water movement, heavier the Krocs. Less wind or less water movement, the lighter the lure.
I prefer using a single hook, either with a dress hook or plain hook so I can add a porkrind type teaser strip.
I would suggest getting Krocs starting at 1/2 oz. on up and have them ready to face whatever the conditions dictate.
Good Fishing!

Being that you’re fishing a party boat. It’s important to mind your fellow angler.
Using a single hook over a treble is far more beneficial. Taking a treble hook
out of a teen size chopper is miserable. Even with pliers.

The fish ran one way and the other. The angler next to you wasn’t aware.
Now the mate gaffed the fish, dropped it on the deck while ywo tou are tangled.
Nevertheless there’s a treble hook lodged in its mouth. Yeay Fun! For who? 😉👍
