Looking to take a charter out for stripers this spring in the Hudson. Just wondering where the best place to go is and a good charter. I fish the albany area from shore and boat but I want to take a charter this year. I hear the Long Island sound is good? Anu recommendations would be great!

Are you looking for a local charter ... or do you want to fish lower Hudson/off shore ?

If you are looking for a local charter i can suggest Ace Charter. He fishes from Albany to Coeymans. Nice guy, really knows his stuff, got to know him well over the past few years. Just got a sweet new/bigger boat last season.

I will go wherever the most fish are. I typically just fish the Albany area but I am will to go anywhere as long as it is worth the drive. Do they usually get a lot of stripers on the local charters?

Yes…Keeping it Reel and Off the Charters are both great.
