i went fishing with a couple friends the other night around 830 and we finnished around 1230. The tide was coming in and we had for rods in the water with chunk mackerel on the line. We used a float with with a circle hook on it and did not have even one bight. The news papers said the stripers were still in the rivers but we got nothing. I am from weymouth mass and i was wondering if anyone had any advice at all or anyone near by knows of any good spots to fish :frustrated:

I assume with the floats, you were drifting near the surface.
Stripers are near the bottom, most times.
Try one hour before the top of the tide, and all of the outgoing.
And never limit yourself to one location. Have a few spots, that you know from experience or local scuttlebutt, that hold fish and are productive areas.
