Everyone prepping for the 2023 season? I got circle hooks figured out much better last year.

Went today fished the incoming tide and the outgoing marked a few fish by the sewer plant they had lockjaw all day. Used fresh blood worms and sandworms even tried some clam bellies no takers. Water is 54 degrees wind was coming up the river a very fast drift covered plenty of ground couldn't find the fish. Searched between the bridge and Cornwall bay very scarce.

Did decent last outing. 2 landed, 6 lost due to circle hooks rolling over. Altered how I was nose hooking herring and got last 2.

One from this morning herring wer easy to scap just after daylight I even managed a couple with the sabiki

Just landed that one. Baits tough to jig up again, Stripers slow biting today.

Fished 7am-noon out of Troy. Tons of bait, zero runs. Anyone else had luck? One boat said they had 1 fish and it was slow day.

Caught a 34 inch yesterday had 3 other runs in the evening upcoming tide
