Agreed. I never see anyone there when I’m out in the boatIf i was a shore fisherman I would fish along the bike path on the west side between the top of the Corning Preserve and Watervliet. Miles of shoreline so no crowds
Oh they are there. I was pulling them in yesterday.Went and checked the poesty this afternoon, stayed about 15 minutes. Did not see anyone catching anything nor did I see any with the polarized shades.
I was there about 1-130 on 4-12-22. I rode the bike down to check if they were there and the guy next to me was pulling them in one after another. The 1st wave of alewivesThat’s good to know, thanks. Yeah I was there about 245 yesterday, what time were u down there? I’ll be going back down tonight.

Thanks appreciate the intel.I stopped by mid afternoon yesterday. It was dirty and high but not horrible. The river on the other hand was a mess. Basically most of the snow was north and west so the most recent precipitation didn't impact the streams east of the river too bad but the stuff west of the river hurt the river itself.
I was up in Troy yesterday I couldn’t catch crap for herring from Congress bridge to the falls the wind was cranking as wellCreek was loaded this morning. Did not mark or catch any on the river but didn't really try hard either. Caught my first striper of the season on chunk around 10 this morning (Albany), 15 feet of water.
I deff have no problem jigging them up yesterday in Troy jigged up a dozen in 10 minBait was unbelievably tough all weekend. Jigged up 4 this am and that's been it. Everyone in my area was striking out. No schools marked in the creek or river.
Of course this beas the weekend I planned to take my buds out lol. Ended up spending $40 for some half dead fertilizer herring that lasted about 20 mins in the livewell. Hoping shit turns on quick.
