Any you fellas plug builders?

Can any one make a 10 '' cigar shaped plug body . My lathe is tiny I can only do up to 5'' . Sure could use a couple . Let me Know in the post Or P.m. me a price , trade or something . I make a pretty decent jigging slab amongst a host of other things .

Anyone know anything about the Central Machinery 5 speed, 1/2 HP Bench Top Wood Lathe #65345. Habror Frieght has it on sale @ $199. Wondering how good this wood be for making plugs.

well as i see their are tons of knowledgeable plug builders here .... what am i going to use to seal the wood? and were can i find it? and any other advise about the subject

I have been told by more than a few..If you plan on plugging the upper Hudson "Your just gonna get yourself tired." "They won't hit plugs they can't see, they go to the scent" I was also told the fish behavior is different than being in salt. They are in spawning mode and eat to continue moving...

I recently was able to buy out an old time lure maker who has retired. He used to make wood blanks, under contract, for many of the major lure manufacturersincluding Gilmore, Fred Arbogast, and Creek Chub to name a few. I have a few of his Pikie Minnow blanks now...but those are not for sale...

Ive been looking around and having trouble finding alaskan yellow cedar, western red cedar, maybe some maple or birch, cant remember where i used to order wood from would appreciate it if any one could point me in a good direction ! :thu:

Samiam sent me a laminated blank and said to do something with it. Sam: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the top is poplar, then walnut, red cedar, walnut and holly. Has about a dozen coats of lacquer on it.
