Is the Shakespeare Ugly Stik Bigwater a decent rod for stripering? I have heard the Ugly Stik Tiger is better, but can't find one locally. I use spinning reels exclusively...so that narrows my options. I have had just as good luck with my other Uglys...at least as good as the more expensive gear.

I have an old Ugly Stick. Bait caster, 6' one piece, serial#J67250. It has some oxidation on the surface. Is there any products to remove this film. I found it leaning against my basement wall and think the concrete foundation may have caused it. Also, anyone know the year of mfg? Thanks
