I just fell in love with this lure. Sunrise on the Merrimack River Thursday morning I took fish after fish from a spot once I figured out how to "walk the dog".
Problem is that this lure came stock with 3 treble hooks. It was almost unfair to the fish...all they had to do was look at this...
made this last winter and didnt have much luck with it ,except for one huge swirl behind it at the cc canal last year at slack tide .walks the dog pretty well with calm surface, not so well with current or surf involved.about 8in. long and probably close to 3 oz.
been surfcasting and pier fishing in Staten Island, many cocktail size blues being snagged or tearing up the bait offerings. I ve seen the occassional striper being caught but not much. Do these blues spook the stripers, into staying away?
