    A friend of mine said he saw someone using a spike that came out of the sand about 4 feet and had a tube at the top that held the rod at a 45 degree angle. Any one seen or know anything about these? Homemade maybe? My friend said it looked like it was made in a factory.

    Hello everyone. I'm in the market for a couple good sand spikes and I'd like to get some recommendations. What has worked for you? What hasn't worked for you. Etc. I looked at a couple at Wal-Mart the other day, but they were too small in diameter for my rods and looked pretty puny anyway...
