There has been a fair amt of local reports of stripers in the coastal river mouths this past winter. Claims are its really picking up and looks great going forward. Thats a good thing and was rare to hear of it years ago. Still have some stockers in Murray, Wateree, Thurmon, and Hartwell Lakes...

The striper fishing on the upper end of Lake Marion is good in the river on the flats as well as in the lower end of the lake and on Lake Moultrie. Herring has been the bait of choice for most anglers, with shad also producing some action as well.
