    OK, been lax in posting but so far in the Hudson its been productive. First striper of season was a 21 inch 3 year old. caught last Friday on a Cowens baitfish Streamer.

    Was up at camp a couple weeks ago and this monster washed up on shore. measured 13.5". we're located on the Great Sacandaga Res. never saw one of these before on this lake. I emailed DEC and showed them some pics. not sure if its a mudpuppy or hellbender...but its cool. any ideas?

    Well just when things were set to be great, color, temp etc ... the rain ruined it. shake.gif Color is way off and LOTS of debris, dangerous debris like this tree that was twice as long as the boat :eek: The few pluses to the day were we actually found a few bait so we had live & chunk all...

    After a little dry spell in the fish-catching department I finally had some decent luck over the weekend. Fished for 2 1/2 hours Friday night off Scarborough Beach and landed a VERY nice 29" maybe 15-20 minutes into the trip on a fresh mack chunk. I would have liked to fish longer but my buddy...

    We caught about 50 fish in total. Catch and release all of what we would not eat. We kept 17 fish smallest being 30" and biggest 38-39". Absolutely amazing day on the water!!!!!!

    Fishing for scup, sea bass and fluke has been pretty good so far this year. Many (most?) days we are hitting boat limits for all three species. Striped bass fishing off of Block Island has been insane. Mainly on diamond jigs, one of my favorite ways to fish for them.

    Well the season is pretty much over for me. My buddy who lives in RI is going to keep me informed if another large pod of bass comes through, like earlier this week.thumbsup.gif
