Hi, I'm a pro kayak angler and member of the Wilderness Systems pro angling team. As part of the team I also help consult with design of new boats and products.
I fish 99% fresh water, but would like to get more into salt and I'm looking for other kayak anglers in the NY area to learn and fish...
Would any of you NYC area guys want to meet up on a Saturday to do some fishing?
I am in Midtown West and could scoop up another person on the way (sorry guys, small 2dr car... wish I could take more).
Any ideas or suggestions?
Went out yesterday and fished Hudson from a pier in Hoboken. We fished the last 2 hours of incoming tide, the slack, and then the first 2 hours of outgoing. Tried frozen bunker and bloodworms with no success.
Has anyone had any luck in the lower Hudson by the city? I didn't see any sign of...

I hit sheepshead bay a couple of nights in a row, all I was able to pull was 2 or 3 snappers of my freshwater Rapala. The Peanut Bunker is in but all thats chasing it is those snappers. We haven't had a good rainfall in a while or cold snap to cool those waters off like they should be by now...
