525 Mag - like new in box with all that came with it. Used very, very little. Nice reel,,, just not for me. I prefer Level Wind, and thumbing. I just get annoyed with the Mag stuff. Absolutely nothing wrong with the Like New reel. I've only used it a handful of time - maybe. Trade for a ABU...

I am really impressed with the casting distances I have been getting with the Penn 525 mag reel.

They sure look (and sound) impresive! Anyone have any experience with them? How do they compare with the ABU Sport Mags (6500)? Hate to buy anouther reel,,, but this is in my dreams on the "gotta have" list lately.

The 525 . Now I know that the magnets can slide closer to each and slow down the spool? The principle is that the magnets lets you adjust the casting speed of the spool. What would the advantage be to mag out a reel and say the 545 that already has fast casting speed without the magnets?
