I'm looking for a some kind of diagram showing how different plugs should be weighted. I've seen a few pics here and there but nothing that covers most plug shapes. If this is covered in thread, I sure can't find it. -Thanks
Plain and simple low on lead and need to make some new jigs and sinkers.
Looking for lead, doesn't matter if its old beat up sinkers, blocks, in sheet form I don't mind.

I'm looking to do more trolling in the Boston Harbor area this summer and figured I'd get a lead core setup so I can troll tubes down deep when the water warmes up. I have wire line but hate the stuff and want to try something differerent. The depths are rarely deeper than 20 feet.
Hey 247 lead melters, I just started using a Hot Pot II, trying to pour 3oz slab spoons.
I melted down some tire weights, which I understand aren't first choice, but got a few pounds of fairly clean lead from them.

I was wondering if anyone made their own belly and tail weights. I am getting tired of running out to the store for split shots. and waiting for deliveries from NJ tackle and the like. I have a blank mold which can be milled for whatever and am planning on purchasing a melting pot soon.
I fish in maybe 30ft of water at the deepest and have been using lead core. I am setting up my new rod but not sure if I should try wire line. I do fine the lead very easy to work with but reading I have found many use the wire.
