I'm new to the salt and would like to give trolling with wire a try. I'm wondering which knots to use at the end of the wire. I know that I need to keep the wire from getting kinked and I'm unsure of how to terminate the wire without letting it get pulled into a sharp bend. Any suggestions?
So I was out fishing the yesterday on the boat and needed to attach my Fluro leader to braid. while talking etc, I just tied a surgeons loop on the end of the leader and then attached the leader to the line with a palomar knot. Never attached with theis combo before but it was quick and easy...

This knot is essential for minimizing hardware and to keep your
lure or plug tracking properly.
Easy knots for the beginner. Practice so you can tie them in the dark.
1. The improved Clinch Knot. For attaching your line to the swivel.
2. The Palomar knot.
The recommended knot for attaching braid to the plug / hook or to the swivel.
3. The simple snell using the uni knot.

Your finished knot coils should be tight and neat looking. If you have any overlays or funny looking coils, cut the line...
What type of knot should I use for attaching a mono leader to lead core.....also any suggestions on how much leader (length) I should use/what # test and is it ok to use flurocarbon instead of the mono? Thanks a lot I'm trying to kill the time and beat the cold by getting all my rods set up now...
