Want to get a fishfinder for the boat (mainly for depth's and such) so I was looking for some opinions and recommendations. The thing is, it can ONLY be a Lowrance brand finder. have a friend that works for Lowrance. Also, I wanted to get a handheld GPS for a Speedo, and for marking positions.

Thinking of getting the Garmin Marine Mount for my Garmin Ledgen C and noticed that the mount has the battery compartment cover attached to the mount. It seems to me that the cover must be protected if left on the yak permenately. So what do people to mount their GPS to the yak? FishHawk
