i looked into the shimano tekota 600 with 40lb braid and an 8 foot ugly stik for chunking macs and jigging eels etc. from beach and piers. is this a good setup?shake.gif

Can anyone elaborate on what this means in terms of rod function? I have seen heavy action, medium action, light action, but just noticed my Tica Dolphin is a Fast Action class, never heard of this before. The rod I think is made for striper fishin...pretty sure...it came with a tag w/ a striper...
