    I have seen mackerel vacuum sealed and frozen for later use as either chum or chunking. Can the same technique be used for bunker? If frozen fresh will it still be as effective as if freshly caught. Does anyone vacuum seal chum and if so any tips? JD

    I mostly fish in lakes and was wondering if chumming worked for stripers? I have caught and 8 pound striper after chumming for catfish with sour corn, milo and range cubes, but i'm not sure if it was the chum. If so, what chum works? Will my catfish mix work? Any help is appreciated.

    I was in the Keys fishing for snapper last week and they were using frozen chum blocks of menhaden oil/chunks. I thought it would be perfect for striper fishing and the guys told me it comes from "up north". I've never seen is available in any of the tackle shops I visit in the Boston area...
