I've been tieing up some of my own bucktails this winter as a way to pass the time. It's been interesting, and have learned a lot. I'm running out of of long enough deer tail hair though.
Does anyone know if horse hair can be used as a substitute? Far simpler for me to get in longer lengths...

I am tying bucktails with lead heads for striper bass. Thread applying very tough.
While and after tying I apply some Super Glue on the thread but anyway significant amount of hairs departing out.
I have recently lost my last swing hook bucktail jig. Does anyone know of a company which makes any of these? I really feel that the action of the swing hook with a trailer makes a big difference versus a standard bucktail with a straight hook. Any feedback is apreciated, thanks.

There was a bunch of smiley copies, and other ball head, torpedo heads. No spro heads though.
