I have jigged herring under the Berkshire spur bridge, but have never tried further south. I know further north up to the dam it gets easier, but how far down can you jig up herring in the river itself?

Fished this area Sunday for the first time. Had heard reports of stripers being caught near the humps in the river. Fish finder stopped working, so had to give it my best guess on the charts. No luck or visible signs of stripers. Only managed 4 blue cats on swim baits.

These two Asian dudes been down here 4 times a week stuffing thier back packs with undersized stripers. It's pissing me off. I got the numbers for the environmental police. Gonna call them and let them know. They are here every year and it seems that nobody has the balls to do anything about it...
