Default EDITED: Eelin' rod: Lami SMB-84-2-F

EDIT: I edited this post because I decided to go with a different blank, 7 footer.

I think I have decided to go with the 7' Lami SMB-84-2-F S-Glass blank.

Maybe chop it a few inches off tha top???

Jonny, I don't know either but for arguments sake, would'nt that affect the action of the rod?

Yeah. I need a stouter rod, so a few inches off the top will give me a little more "beef" and power on hooksets. I wont need to remove any off the butt of the SMB-84-2-F blank though.

Yes, sometimes, depending on the application. A few inches off this blank will allow me to also throw a little more weight with it too.
