Finished some plugs. The top 2 are 4290 stubby copies. Plugs 2nd and third from the top have bear hair dressing. They all swim great. These are being sweet water field tested in South Carolina for the winter, but I'm so pleased with the way they came out, more are definitely on the list of plugs to make this year.
those look great.so lure biulding is a winter sport,i just ordered a few more kits ,going to try some bunker patterns.is the redwhite an atom?i did real well with them this year.
Bear hair, that's a new one to me. Maybe it would have more body in the water and give a bigger profile? Nice job, I'd be glad to test a few of your rejects any time,
:yay:i also have eye of newt. i am now on the arctic fox kick. but not just any one. the material i picked up at the flytying show is sweet. i think the bear is a bit heavy and if you wanna slow the bitch down fine but for the stubbies i would not use it (or very sparse) anyway, thanks ed, hope i can score some more polar bear at the flyfishing show in a few weeks. my alaskan connection dropped off the face of the earth when the new laws went into effect up there.
