How To: 50 % off Badger Airbrush
Ok so Ive got my shop all set up (will post pics in a few) and I needed an airbrush... I had a 50% off a single item coupon from Jo-Ann's fabrics, they dont sell airbrush's though (of course)... So I went to Michael's and they do have the Badger Airbrushes and lo and behold, they accept competitors coupons... Badger 150 anthem for 140 bucks, 50% off equals new airbrush for $70.00... The Jo-Ann's coupons can be found in this past Sundays paper and in most Sunday newspapers, and can be used at Michaels. Im not sure if this would work all over the country, but it did in N. Attleboro MA... it's at least worth a try.

Re: How To: 50 % off Badger Airbrush
I would stay away from the Badger 150.... I have one, when it's good it's very good, but when it is bad... it's terrible.. basicly is a very fickle brush, paint has a tendency to dry on the tip, thus warranting constant cleaning... if you forget, it spats out a huge wad of paint at the worst possible time..
I also have a
badger Cresenda 175.... this is a good brush, it sprays metalics well, in fact, I'm quite sure it would spray gravel! It also does fine lines anf=d detail too, it's major down fall is the needle protrudes beyond the nose cone, so, it is VERY easy to bend... keep spares on hand and you will have no problem...
I just got an Iwata a week ago... blows the Badgrs away!

Like I said, a good brush, but VERY fussy on paint mixture and cleanliness... Iwata... ask Suds, he swears by his too...

Re: How To: 50 % off Badger Airbrush
So I went ahead and traded the 150 anthem for the 175 crescendo, I figure for 70 bucks it should be a good starter gun... same price and same deal 50% off

Re: How To: 50 % off Badger Airbrush
Thats a good choice.. as I said earlier, keep a spare needle and tip in stock, especialy the fine, it's real easy to bend them.... If you ever need parts, Dixie art has every conceviable part to rebuild them, I dropped my Creseda 175, bent the trigger and needle... three days latter, I had a new one at my door...

Just another vote for the 175, I use the fine tip for spraying color, and the large tip for spraying primer. Works for me.
