Went out on the Cal Duct this morning. All 4 gates were open. Caught 8 Stripers 14" to 20". Caught 2 on Chovies and the other 6 on Yozuri Lipless crankbait

Fished the sf bay today for bat rays..Hell of fun. Landed 4 and lost 1 ,temp wad in the high 60's . Will fish the ducts again on Monday.

Fished from the shore at Alameda rockwall area. used squid and chovies , 4 out of 5 rays prefed the squid. Lots of fun when a fish can hammer the drag on big reels.

Fished the same gates yesterday with the gates closed . only one at 20 inches ,missed another bite . with no flow they hit soft or not at all, will take bait out there next time just incase the gates are down. And there are portables bonus ....LOL

Went out to the gates this morning, all 4 gates open, real slow though. Caught 4, all on bait. Nothing hitting the lures today. Caught 2 decent size cats and 2 16" stripers, all on Chovies.

2 nice ones monday and 1 nice one thursday between 20 and 21 inches . gates all the way down and biting on the bottom . usally hit it for an hour at a time . Sure wish there were some bigger ones,although the cats get big.on the cali at the same gates.

Just got back from LA. I went out. Had to get my fishing fix. Great day caught 15 stripers 14" to 18". Some hitting once the lure hit the water. All within 3 hours. Hopefully this will continue.

Catching a little here and there ,no real big numbers although my brother nail about 30 after work yesterday on the mendota. Also selling my 14 foot aluminum fishing boat with trailer , listed on craigslist modesto for 1600.00 , but will sell for 1300.00. Lots of new items

Same here. Tried a new spot today. Fish were literally jumping out of the water. Caught 10. Most were about 14" Caught a nice 22" Can't wait to go back. I was told one can catch 45" stripers there. We'll see

Biggest fish ihave seen from there was pushing 40 pounds or better. It was caught on the other end from where you were fishing. Anchovies and I think it was just luck the guy was only there for 5 minutesbefore he landed the beast. Theres big ones out there.Good luck

Got skunked this weekend went out for an hour sunday and no flow in both canals. Have not fished much lately just too damn busy.anyone catching?

Went out Sat evening, caught 8 14" stripers. Nothing special fish off Lammers. Went out today to the forebay, got there gates were closed, caught 2 12" stripers. Workers came to work on the gates opened 3 of them fully. Way to much water flow. Not very eventful fishing session. Still need to learn how to fish there, any info would be helpful.

Finally got out yesterday after getting new tires on the car, stopped in westley for 2 small stripers around 12 inches . one guy across the gates from me was pulling in one little one after another with bait. gates were part way open and lots of water flowing over the boards.had a ton of bites but those little guys are faster than my reflexs were yesterday.
