Re: Northern Aqueduct Fishing?
Lost a huge catfish and landed a nice 24 incher that i will give to my friend since I only eat fish and chips. Lol. Hooked the cat on redworms with 4 lb line and it gnawed through the line above the leader .landed 12 shaker stripers and finished in 1 and a half hours at the farm.

Try the farm between lammers and safeway. Thinking crawlers with 10 lb line .having the second pole tag is great, can work a lure while the bait sits. The cat had taken all the line and pulled the bail open before I had gotten back to it, had used wire to tie the pole to the fence.

Definitely do that, I lost a pole a few months ago. Expensive day of fishing. Went to Lammers this evening, caught 10, few keepers, threw them back. Going out Sunday, I'll try the farm between Lammers and Safeway

American shad anything patterns are wonrking for me. LC120s Rtraps and poppers in the morning and evening. For catfish in still water mix some chicken liver with garlic powder. Get fresh liver not frozen. while ur out fishing or at home let it sit outside for a little bit. 20-30mins is fine. wrap some of that liver with string, i use hair nets works alot better. You will get big bites, big cats

Re: Northern Aqueduct Fishing?
Fished saturday between mountain house and the fire station, caught 4 and then moved up stream to mountainhouse bridge and caught 4 more then went grocery shopping . When I volunteer to do the shopping the wife knows it also includes some fishing time.My brother watched a catfish eating from a grate and threw every piece of bait and lure at it. Not even a look at anything but the grate it was gnawing on. Makes sense since today went to mc arthur and spotted 3 bass near the grates protecting their nest . Figured out how to twitch the lure to get them to strike and nailed all 3 and threw them back, no stripers .

Re: Northern Aqueduct Fishing?
Todays catch was 1 large mouth and 8 stripers in 30 minutes behind safeway. Stripers were deep in the middle and the largemouth was right on the edge. There seem to be a lot of large mouth bass out there , more than I have seen in the last 3 years.

Re: Northern Aqueduct Fishing?
Hey lexo. Took my son out with me today for an hour to the farm . We were using the Berkley power bait 3 inch swim shad check back a couple pages and I had posted a pic of the package. Get more than one pack since the strippers can really shred the lured. Today we caught 8 stripers with the biggest at 17 inches

Re: Northern Aqueduct Fishing?
It's been awhile since I was able to hit the aqueducts. Like you said barn, graduation parties to hold and celebrating coupled with birthday parties made it hard for me to go and do some fishing. I was able to finally hit the ducts this past Saturday and landed a few around the Safeway area. I'm using mainly LC SP128. I'm still practicing with the Shad soft lures. Not as easy as how you make it look, barn. Lol. Glad everyone is out fishing and ripping lips! I would like to try night fishing with some cut bait and see if the big boys will come and play. =)
