i had a 28 29 and 32" striper on the chartruse 9er, but when i caught 2 26" and one 28" bluefish at the same time I nearly sharted... after goin thru 5, 9ers lost on crap on the bottom of the ocean i decided to retire the 'russian trawler' an old timer turned me on to them and he regularly caught 30 pounders on the thing he set me up with the stainless wire line a 113hsp and a penn senator steel line rod all for the low cost of $420 now it sits in my basement i found eels at night and live bait durin the daylight to be more effective size wise, none the less those 9ers produce!
