Default Solar Chargers????

What I feel is my biggest/best surprise Christmas present. Wow my wife actually listens to me.
What I am asking is. Do they really work.

My basic problem is one fishing spot I go to. It's the Chicopee river in MA.
I seem to use up most of my battery life while I'm fishing 5 to 6 hrsd and have a long ride back to the boat ramp. I don't expect it to keep the battery charged completely. Just curious if it will keep enough charge to keep me going.

I don't have a gas motror (yet). All I use is a 41lb thrust trolling motor. It's mounted on a 15' fiberglass boat.

Thanks for all that reply.

You'll probably get a much better response rate over in the boating forum.

NPIKE,

solar battery chargers have a very slow rate of charge and are better suited for battery maintenance to compensate for naturql discharge and low amp draws like pumps....

My recomendation to you is to have a pair of the biggest batteries available, and keep them charged when your not fishing, be sure they are deep cycle for max. performance...
