May 1st is when I start targeting them. Usually get a schoolie sometime before Mother's Day, then usually get the first decent "keeper" sized fish a week or 2 after that. Maybe a little earlier for you since you're a little South of me. But Mother's Day is usually "Blast Off Time"

They never left.........well some stayed. My friends catch them in any river. they holdover. use a sluggo deadsticked or very slow.

Let me know. People I know caught at least one each month without missing. Everytime they went out they caught keepers not all schoolies.
