Lefty's lures?
Does anyone use any of Lefty's lures? My doctor told me about these, and said they were very popular. I bought one on his advice at the Asbury Park (NJ) fishing show. His table opened at 9 and he was sold out by 9:30; I got the next-to-last one.
Has anyone used his stuff?

Not many people buy Lefties to actually fish with.
Perhaps this is why:

Lefty is the originator of the fully epoxy sealed high end striper plug. Once upon a time folks used to get them and fish them. That was until the collecting craze started which drove demand and prices sky high. The fact that he's been up and down health wise has also played a role in the demand.
To be honest, his work is what prompted me to get into the plug making thing. I tried for years to get one for myself (to fish) but the whole getting in line at 5 A:M thing and then waiting in the March cold for 3 hours was just never going to happen. By the time I'd get into the show he was always long sold out. I figured I can't buy one, I'll just make one. Borrowed a friends Lefty studied the action and knocked off a few for myself (and don't ask , I won't copy and sell another mans plug)

Thanks!
91 bucks! Now I wish I had bought a few more of them! And now, for sure, it will never hit the water.
Thanks for posting that eBay link--you may have made me some money.
And I hope he makes it to next year's show--I'm gonna buy a few of them.

I do appreciate the craftsmanship, just wouldn't pay that kind of money,it just simply isn't worth it.$10-$15 maybe, more than that you've been ripped off.
