FAQ Can I post Images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif
. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed). IT IS!
(THERE IS NOW ACCESS VIA THE ALBUM)
But I will attempt to make this simple as I can for you. Images can now be uploaded to this server via the album on top of the board. Click into album and then to either keepers, all pics or your own personal pics. You will see an upload pic button. Press it and your files on your hard drive will open. Find the location where your picture is on your hard drive and upload it.
I will give you the location for a resizer because most photos stored are obnoxiously large. around 400 x 300 is not too bad. This doesnt matter too much for the album because they get resized by the board.
But I can resize images and post them for you by uploading them to the server via my file transfer protocol. (ftp)
Here is a picture resizer that you can download to your machine. (NO spyware or trojans attached to it. The software is clean)
PIXresizer is a tool for quickly generating screen-friendly versions of your images with dramatically reduced file sizes. It is a photo resizing program that enables you to quickly resize one file or a selection of image files for use on the web and in e-mail. A great companion for webmasters and digital photographers.
