Default The Cape?

This weekend I will be going to the cape for my daughters basketball tournaments i'm staying at south yarmouth resort and hoping to get some shore fishing in while there.Ive never fished the cape before and would like to take my son and his friend fishing in between games.Can anybody give me any ideas maybe a spot or a local baitshop that could help point us in the right direction.I'm not looking for your honey holes jus a little help.

the drive down to dennis is worth it there are some great spots there

Some fishing buddies mentioned bass river is that acessable from the shore I will be staying in S.Yarmouth.

No...if you can it is not great fishing...the bass river is the best in Dennis, only about a 20 min. drive

The Bass River can be good, especially on the outgoing. If you're limited for time your best bet is likely to head to the public park on South Shore Drive at the mouth of the Bass River (west side). You can cast into the river, work the jetty, or hoof it down the beach from there. Theres more public access just to the west also, another town park I think. A few miles more to the west is Great Island Road, very scenic drive right along beach. there are a fair amount of blues on the beaches ten miles west so be prepared for some chopping action near yarmouth also.
