Most of us have a power boat that can't be launched by hand.

What woud you guys do if you had to use human power. I got a pedal kayak, but working that tide is tough. And all the wood trash in the river might wreck the propeller drive. IT's a old town.

Try each edge of slack by the creek mouth?

Work the creek outgoing.

Try to anchor in the channel near your launch?

I havn't had too much luck last year in the creek. It's all been main channel.

However, I haven't done too much late night fishing, mostly day and evening into 10pm or so.

FYI. Whoever left their huge concrete blocks at the rhinebeck launch, could you please take them home with you......

As of a day or two ago, the lanches south of the rip van winkle are not blocked, but do not have floating docks in.

The 2 car method makes the most sense to me. This time of year the tide never really flows upstream except maybe in the middle. It just kind of fills up. Put in at high tide in Watervliet, drift to Albany. HH to Coyemans etc. . Anchor up periodically. Plan on piss stops. Some sort of outrigger would be nice. Cold water kills.
