Glusk7, I keep my boat in Marboro and fish Newburgh all the time, what kind of boat do you have? I have a 17' Angler center console, swing by and say hi if you see me out there, I'll be out with my 16 year old son who has hair down to his back (yeah, a little jealous....)...Mike

We are launching today too.
Troy Damn has been on fire the last 2 mornings.

Awesome Doc .... One of my friends used to fish there at first light regularly and had some great mornings using jigs.

Those fish on herring or lures?

Morning all! Been on here a couple of years now and love the passion shared by all on the site..Sooo, went out of White's yesterday and covered from Newburgh north to Marlboro. Water was 56-57 and the wind was annoying. Hard to keep anything down using 4 ounce. Marked very little . One 21" released to fight another day about 1/2 hour before high tide. On another note, The blood worms I got are like snakes! Good luck in 2017 fellow striper hunters!!

Beautiful fish! High tide and herring? Or bucktails?

Fished the same area yesterday. Hooked up with a nice sized stripper had her right next to my boat but it got away. Otherwise I got skunked. My bloods weren't that great where do you get yours?

Did Marlboro to Newburgh yesterday too...from 11 to 3 with my son and his friend. Marked tons of fish, had 5 hits but only landed one, tiny one 18" or so. Didn't help that my son's friend started reeling the wrong way each time he had a hit....
