Default Newburgh?

I haven't seen many posts about Newburgh. Has anyone had much luck there yet this year?

Was in Beacon Sunday fishing bloods from shore. Beautiful weather, no fish. I was only there for like an hour at slack low tide. Tons of shore fishermen, they all said they got nothing. It was hard finding a spot along shore. Saw a dozen or so boats, not sure if they had better luck but from what I saw I didn't see any action out there either. I went out mostly just get my gear all loosened up, I'm going to break out the kayak this weekend.

Fished the outgoing today from 12-5. 2 quick runs but only lasted a couple seconds before dropping the bait. Nothing after that. Didn't see anyone doing anything. Great day to be on the water though.

Seeing some decent fish around tompkins cove area, not quite Newburgh just yet. I'm taking my kayak out tomorrow, might launch over near that beach south of cold spring. I have no idea what I'm getting myself into, but I'm gonna drop blood worms down, and cast poppers and swimbaits..
