Default Fishing for stripers now!????

I live in Carteret Nj. we have a nice pier that i caught some decent sized stripers. the biggest being a 38 inch 24 pounder. This was back in May and june. I fish with my cousin in the highlands also in the raritan bay. If I was to go fishing now would i catch anything? Also how about the hudson i have a planned fishing trip for next friday?

The water in Raritan Bay is a bit (a lot) warm right now.
Your only real chance of catching a bass will be near the top of an incoming tide (cool water from the ocean) with enough wind from the north to kick up a good chop.

Give it another 2 or 3 weeks and things should start to get going back there

Only way to know is to try. Fish, keep a log, and learn. Then in 10 years you'll look back and "try" to predict when the fish are there.
