Default Lake Monroe 5-29-9

Got to the lake late in the day and put in at Paynetown, armed with casting rods and a bucket of shiners. On the boat were Mr. P, myself, and a young angler we'll refer to as Buck. We tried Moores Creek but caught nothing there. Went to Hardin Ridge; nothing. Then back to the Moores Creek area. There are some nice points and flats in that inlet. We trolled chartreuse bucktail jigs tipped with big shiners, but we only managed to catch a bunch in the 3-4 lb size range. At one point we all three had a fish on the line at the same time. It was incredible, and incredibly, we all managed to land the fish. It was a great day. We caught about a dozen fish and we'll all laugh for a long time to come when we think about the chaos of having three poles simultaneously lit up with angry wipers.

We left the lake after dark, one of the last boats off the water.
