Default Lower to mid hudson info & reports 2012

Launch Ramp Docks being assembled in the Ghetto as I type this.

Unknown when the Fee Booth will be open or what the cost will be this year.

The Rude Rec Boater Nutz won't be far behind.

Please no specific info as to avoid spot burning !

Holly Molly a 100% increase ? YIKES !!!!! for what ? More BS that ramp was to be free when it first went in and was paid for w/ our $$$ from license fees. but that's another story. So I guess after the first week of may when they open up for the summer season I'll be launching before Ms. Jones gets there and staying till after the fried chicken is all gone at dark cause she told me last year they open from 0700hrs. to 2000hrs, but she also said and kept her word after ten fees you get one free. n-Now I don't know if that's official but I do chat with her each time for over three years now -. Man I got the itch too but with True down awaiting pumps heads and a L Flange for my scupper drain which happens to be a dealer /factory only part so it looks like I won't be hitting the river by boat until mid April, which is also about the time we start banging the big fish according to my notes in my log book. Until then I can only look forward to surf fishing for Pompano from the beaches of Amelia Island next week . Tight Lines All :}

Put the boat in and went out Friday in the lower hudson area had no problem getting herring and boated 3 nice ones for this early 18lb 14lb males 28lb female all released safe and sound back into the river. I fished the outgoing as always (much stronger current outgoing) all three on live herring lovely day the river was rather clear what with the limited run off this year. they are on their way to you guys waaaaaaay up north and it looks like a good year so far.

I know it may be hard to believe but i don't own a cell phone never have never will. im an old fart that just doesn't want the intrusion of a electronic leash ya want to talk to me call me at home or come by and see me going out Easter will bring my camera this time. forgot it yesterday what with all the stuff i had to get together to get the boat commissioned and fishing ready all the rods reels boxes and things my car and my brain were full. but the lower hudson bear mt bridge and south was good fishing.

well after 4 days of fishing in 72* water I haven"t seen any stripers, In fact all I've been able to catch are small pompano's, jacks, sheepheads & this small Mac.

Used the Launch in Newburgh today. $15.00 Sucks it was built by the state and now Newburgh has a fat cash cow.. I think Newburgh would have made more money if they had put in a lunch wagon..
Anyway, My fishing partner is on the disabled list. I'm looking for a fishing partner. Weekdays, anyone interested. I have all my own gear ,, including boat.. if your interested send a a private message

Well for $15 hopefully they have someone directing traffic, many people seem to have never learned to wait their turn when retrieving. We'll be out for our first splash tomorrow hopefully theyre biting, we'll be the big blue boat :)
