Default Powder Coat

I had to go to Virginia last week and stopped into a Harbor Freight. I picked up a couple pounds of powder coat and the stuff works pretty good. Heated the jig, dipped it and cured in a oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. The price is right. I picked up a tub of white and what HF called yellow. The yellow is more like a orange.

Rick, I have an HF pretty close to me, and never thought to look for powder coat. With most of HF's stuff it's low price usually equates to similar level of quality as well. Have you tried chip test the coating? If so, has it held up OK?

Other than accidentally dropping a couple on a concrete floor, I haven't tried a chip test. They survived the concrete floor drop test. How do I perform a chip test? Let me send a couple down to you, and you can check them out.

A chip test is performed when you drop the jig on a concrete floor from about 4 feet off the ground, If they do not chip, it's good to go!
