Default Hook for worms

Been using gammy 3/0 bait hooks for a while and last season had a few break on me. What are you guys using this year?

Here's my thought - you break a hook, I would think it's the steel in that batch of hooks. I'd toss every hook in that pack and contact the manufacture. I know guys that catch #50 fish on 3/0's.

Gamatsu hooks have fone downhill the kast few year......I' ve had dozens od 6-0 and 7-0 break.....same for Owner hooks. I tested them against my Gamagatsu's from 7 years ago in a vice and the older ones bent whereas the newer ones snapped. The metal has too much hardness. I've switched to Trokar and Mustad hooks now. The Mustads bend on anything over 50 lbs but do nit break. This is generally not an issue in the hudson but it is in the ocean.
