Default New guy here with a question about the water gap section.

Hi guys, I have never fished the Delaware for stripers.. I fish mostly Salt water,Raritan Bay and as far soutn as manasquan inlet.. Myself and family just started camping last year and we are are looking to camp in and around the Water gap section of the big D we have a couple of campgrounds picked out that I can fish the river right from the camp ground, what im asking is for any tips.. what baits to use, best times of year , and day to fish for stripers ( im assuming may and June)..and is there any good tacle shops aroind the Gap area.. I really appreciate any and all input.. Thanks, Craig

Hi Scrubby,
I'd love to help you out, but I'm just not familiar with that area. Hopefully someone who is will pipe up soon!
Cheers,
Jake

Same here. I have 2 of those 57 views, as I click the view new posts button each time I visit. Probably a bunch of guys do the same. Eventually you might get someone who is local/familiar with the area to comment.
