Default Dutchess county boat launch ?

Any suggestions on the best place to launch a boat in Dutchess county? I live in Wappingers falls and am thinking of crossing the river to launch in Newburgh. TIA

There's a launch near Chelsea yacht club and another in Beacon at the train station. They are both in very poor shape. The one at Chelsea has some deep holes. At low tide your trailer will fall in. I heard a guy broke an axial recently. I saw a guy with a larger boat missing a wheel on one side a week ago. So if you have a small boat or plan your trip to leave/return at the high, you might be okay there. But be careful.

Norrie Point has a marina. $5 launch fee. I was there yesterday, but not fishing :)

I will attest to chelsea sucking. My trailer fell in that hole first time I launched my boat.

Theres a free launch in pok. In waryas park but you have to drive boat onto trailer or get wet as the dock is some 20yards away and around the corner. On the weekend forget it there is no parking park is full of riff raff

If you are in Wappingers, why not drop it in at White's Marina. Just need to watch for low tide...ramp is great but shallow marina at low tide. It's not free but you will spend it in gas finding a decent launch elsewhere.
