Default Croton Point Park

Yesterday my fiance and I took a lil trip up the hudson and we drove through Croton Point Park and was wondering if anybody has had success fishing there. We were thiking of doing a bbq there with friends and I was gonna spend the day fishing. Any input on the park would be appreciated along if anybody knows of any bait and tackle shops there. Thank you in advance!!!

Croton Point is a nice place to bbq and can be a nice place to fish when the time is right. There is a little bait shop in Croton, but I don't ever go there so I don't know much about it. I'm sure someone else has some info on it.

Im not gonna get there too early so maybe I will just use some chunks and artificials. I know there are a lot of different types of fish I can target there. Should be a fun day out, nice bbq and fishing with family, cant go wrong

Could be resident schools of bass around if you are looking to scratch the itch..They are right below so should be around there too.

yes there are stripers there all year.
i just went down last weekend and caught them from around that area. nothing big just small schoolies but definately doable for someone from up here to do. same tackle just get bloodworms.

when the weather and water temps warm up bluefish are plentiful there as long as the bunker are around. casting a larger metals(Hopkins) will do the trick from the shore.
