Default Skipjack herring

what is the best way to keep skipjack alive for more than a cople of hours??? I need help going to Tennessee in March on my own this time and need some info....Thanks

Where will you be fishing?
You may not have to keep them alive that long.
I know I can keep them alive that time of year. But I have to keep the bait tank running hard. And then its not easy.

Good luck and I hope to be wearing them out at Pickwick dam then.

its not illegal to transport live herring....

Put a drop or two of clove oil in your bait tank, they will lay down like they are dead, it tranquilizes them. They can live for a couple hours that way, once you put them in fresh water they will become lively again after 10-15 min.
