Default Squid, Herring & Eel Report

Squid were on again tonight and we'll be at it for as long as they are aroud. I hope to get enough squid to last for a bunch of fluke trips.

Herring were everywhere and easily taken on rigs, even had a few hook up on squid jigs but worked themselves off as them get out of the water. There were some big schools breaking in a small cove off to the side from where we were fishing, I'm not sure if they were breaking because of schoolies or just because thats what they do lol.

I had the lantern close to the water and there were a ton of minnows in the water. I happen to look down again and there were a bunch of eels swimming around in the light. That makes me say again.. It's just about here guys... there is plenty of life in the water again

Default Striper Fisherman while I was squiding

I was out squiding again tonight and there were a few guys out there with live squid for bait looking for stripers. I've never used squid or live squid for that matter but I guess it can work. Anyway I was there for an hour for two zip lock backs of squid and they hadn't had any hits, nice to see fellow striper fisherman so I always make a point to say hello.

My buddy used a small red ball, throws it out and pulls it in. They sell something like that in the store with little wires on it . Never used one. He would get a sh-t load. But he ate them.
