Default Braid Line Cuts

What is everyone using to avoid cuts? I have used the sports tape, off shore gloves from bass pro.

Thanks

#1 trick is to have your drag set properly so that it doesn't slip during the cast, and a leader long enough to grab when landing the fish. Do that and the risk of cuts from braid will be reduced dramatically.

That said, when you've been fishing for hours and your fingers look like prunes, some protection isn't a bad idea at all. I prefer a leather golf glove. Very durable and fits tight enough that you can still tie knots with it on.

The drag is set properly ( 1/4 of line test) and the leader i think is long enough, but maybe as I cast my finger is running on the line. I don"t know.

I purchased some cheap latex coated gloves, and maybe I will get glove gloves..

I really think it might be the way I release the line when casting but not sure.

hockey tape... but I've seen rubber shrink tube and even the gamakatsu finger glove or the aquaskins jammy... just tape the casting finger or get a breakaway cannon if your afraid of the braid,,,,,
