Thanks for the well wishes guys. Sorry about dropping off the edge like that. I had a lot of plans for this winter to get me ready for next seasons fishing (and retirement) but health issues interceded.
I think I mentioned that I have really never been sick....haven't been in the hospital in over 50 years. But over the last 3 months, I think I've now reached my quota.
Stuck in bed most of the day I've been reading a lot....went through the last 5 years of Salt Water and Sport Fishermen......read Joshua Slocumb's Sailing Alone.......and watching TV....definately seen my fill of LMB fishing and CSI themed shows.
I have a meeting with the surgeon next week and hoping he clears me for rehab asignment. All the doctors have been telling me how lucky I've been, that it could have been much worse. I got a picture of what it could have been with my room-mate in my last hospital stay as he had to to have emergency surgery for the same condition. Besides him spitting up blood for days, he had a 26 stitch incission (compared to my 2-3 incher). Man, that would not look good with me in my Speedo.
Right then and there I promised myself that I would stop abusing my body....get enough sleep, eat right, and develop an exercise routine.
Again, thanks for your thoughts. In a few months my hull should be completely repaired, I should be back to full throttle, and working on the new and improved Tonydb hull design.
